General Machinist

Reporting: Reports directly to Engineering and Tooling Manager
Position: Hourly
Hours: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday thru Thursday, 8:00 am to 2:30 pm Friday. Hours may be adjusted at the discretion of your supervisor. This position is for our Camarillo Location

Overview:

As a General Machinist, you will use machine and software tools to manufacture, modify repair, and assemble tooling in the form of molds, fixtures, and support equipment used for the rubber molding process; according to verbal and/or documented instructions, prints, and procedures per customer requirements and instructions from your supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conventional Mill and Lathe work.
  • Program, set-up, and operation of CNC Mills and Lathes.
  • Proficient with surface and tool grinders.
  • Utilizes CAD/CAM systems.
  • Machine and repair parts/assemblies correctly from sketches, technical drawings, 3-D models, and verbal instructions.
  • Support Engineering and Facilities projects in the capacity of fabrication, machining, and assembly per instructions from your supervisor and/or project lead.
  • Follows work standards for quality and productivity.
  • Preserve product, tools, equipment, and workplace in accordance with good manufacturing practices.
  • Supports 5-s and adheres to health, safety and environmental company guidelines.
  • Other duties and/or special projects as assigned by supervisor.

Employee Requirements:

Skills, Education and/or Experience

  • Strong understanding of machining practices, mechanical fitments, and assemblies.
  • Detail oriented – must be able to hold .001” total tolerance
  • Working knowledge and proper use of shop hand tools
  • Ability to accurately measure dimensions utilizing standard shop measuring and inspection equipment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must read, write and speak English fluently; bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Good oral communication; must be articulate
  • SolidWorks and/or other CAD software experience
  • Upholds oneself with professionalism, while exhibiting strong teamwork, adaptability, and cost consciousness.

Mathematical Skills

  • Shop Math- Geometry, Algebra, Statistics,
  • Able to read and interpret Engineering blueprints and drawings

Production Assistant 1 / Driver

Reporting: Reports directly to the Operations Manager
Position: Hourly
Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Thursday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Friday. Hours may be adjusted at the discretion of your supervisor.

Overview:

As a Production Assistant I, you will be responsible for the delivery and pick-up of items
according to verbal and/or documented procedures and per instructions from your supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follows a daily schedule of deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Supports shipping/receiving activities.
  • Stocks shelves and shipping pallets.
  • Operates forklifts and maintains the fuel supply of forklifts.
  • Maintains cleanliness of trucks, on a weekly basis.
  • Schedules regular vehicle maintenance (oil change, tune-ups, tire rotation etc.)
  • Ensures that trucks are fueled by the end of each week.
  • Supports maintenance and manufacturing as available.
  • Supports 5-s and adheres to health, safety and environmental company guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Overview:

As a production assistant for shipping and receiving, you will support purchasing, manufacturing and shipping activities according to verbal and/or documented procedures and per instructions from your supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follows a daily schedule for shipping and receiving
  • Supports shipping/receiving activities
  • Collect/review work orders for packaging, labeling and shipping method as required
  • Verify and record all incoming freight
  • Stocks shelves and shipping pallets
  • Operates forklifts
  • Supports 5-s and adheres to health, safety and environmental company guidelines.

Facilities Technician

Reporting: Reports directly to the Process Engineering Manager
Position: Hourly
Hours: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday thru Friday. Hours may be adjusted at the discretion of whom you are reporting to.

Overview:

As a Facilities Technician you will be responsible for servicing, repairing and maintaining all machinery and equipment in the facility according to verbal and/or documented procedures and per instructions from your supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs monthly preventive maintenance on all machinery and equipment as scheduled.
  • Performs semi-annual and annual preventive maintenance on all machinery and equipment.
  • Makes all necessary repairs to machinery, production equipment and building structures.
  • Coordinates with all departments for feedback on the functionality of machinery and equipment.
  • Researches and identifies repair parts for machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Supports all departments with the necessary tools (fixtures, hand tools, etc.) to aid in the flow of production.
  • Assists Production with new tooling installations.
  • Provides support on special projects as needed.
  • Makes minor mold repairs as required.
  • Ensures the Lock-Out/Tag-Out requirements for “Out of Service” machinery and equipment are utilized when required.
  • Operates the forklift when necessary (Operators license required).
  • Supports 5-s and adheres to health, safety and environmental company guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Employee Requirements:

Skills, Education and/or Experience

  • Must read, write and speak English fluently; bilingual in Spanish is a plus

  • Working knowledge of hand tools
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, welding, compressed air components, plumbing and the fabrication of small internal and external structures
  • Working knowledge of small machining (Metalworking Lath/Bridgeport Milling Mach/etc.)
  • Working knowledge of various Digital Multi Meters for trouble shooting and testing electrical components
